5100 Series - Silicone-based Defoamers

DeCAL 5105

DeCAL 5105 is a newly developed silicone-based defoamer suitable for application at elevated temperatures and pressures as well as under atmospheric conditions.

Applications

It is advisable to dilute DeCAL 5105 with water before adding to the bulk liquor. For maximum efficiency we would recommend diluting the product with 8-12 parts of cool soft deionised water.  The water should be added slowly to the antifoam with low shear mixing.  The dilution should be used within 12 hours.

It is recommended that 200 ppm (0.2 g/l) is used initially and the results obtained will indicate whether a further addition is required.

DeCAL 5155 – a stabilised silicone defoamer

DeCAL 5155 is a highly efficient defoaming agent which disperses readily in water. It’s efficient and stable over a wide temperature range and resistant to emulsification by processing surfactants. DeCAL 5155 is compatible with dyes, processing chemicals and electrolytes at normal concentration levels.

Applications

DeCAL 5155 is effective in a breadth of applications including agrochemicals, textiles, paints, coatings and adhesives. Due to its highly effective defoaming properties, relatively low levels of DeCAL 5155 is required.
