Esacol MX 44

Esacol MX 44 is a hydro-colloid soluble both in hot and cold water, belonging to the family of modified polysaccharides. Special modifications make it suitable as a thickener and a water retentive agent.

Chemico-physical characteristics:

  • Chemical description: non-ionic modified polysaccharide
  • pH: 6.0 – 8.0 (2% w/w water sol.)
  • Appearance: ivory-flowing powder
  • Moisture: < 5%
  • Bulk density: 0.6 – 0.8 g/ml
  • Particle size: 95% < 60 mesh ASTM
  • Solubility: complete
  • Brookfield RVT viscosity: 6000 – 8000 mPa*s (2% w/w solution, 20’C, 20 rpm)

0.10-0.30%

Gypsum-based adhesive:

0.20-0.40%
