For the past 30 years we’ve had a perennial presence at Surfex and the team will be back again this year. Surfex, the UK’s flagship event for Surface, Paint and Coatings Technology is due to take place on 9-10 June at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
What can you expect at Surfex 2026
Surfex brings together formulators, manufacturers, suppliers, regulators, academics and industry bodies from the UK and beyond. Over two days, you will hear about the latest developments in the coatings industry, gain technical knowledge from industry experts, find new ideas and solutions to apply in your business and learn more about regulation, sustainability and performance trends shaping the industry.

Our team will be on hand during the two-day event to discuss our portfolio of additives which have been specially designed for the coatings industry. This includes our DeCAL range of defoamers, dispersants, rheology modifiers and anti-crack plasticisers.
Shining a spotlight on:
- DeCAL 1107 BIO contains up to 30% bio-based content and is ideal for water-based paint and coating systems. It improves flow and levelling performance whilst retaining high thickening efficiency.
- DeCAL 1200 acts as a thickener and rheology modifier for many aqueous, paint and coating compositions. It provides good viscosity at low concentrations.
- DeCAL 1230 is a general-purpose synthetic thickener for water-based systems. It offers a gentler thickening action compared to other emulsion thickeners.
Our cutting-edge portfolio of additives also includes DeTOX – a range of titanium dioxide pigments; and DeLOUR – a series of phthalocyanine pigments. In addition, our building and construction division AptiCem offers dry mortar additives, admixtures, defoamers and lithium carbonate replacements.
