DeCAL 1200 – Synthetic Thickener for Water-based Systems

DeCAL 1200 is an anionic polymer dispersion in mineral oil used as a general-purpose thickener giving short flow rheology across a wide pH range.

Applications

DeCAL 1200 can be used as a thickener and rheology modifier for many aqueous adhesive, paint and coating compositions, and requires no pH adjustments for activation when used within the range 4 – 11. DeCAL 1200 is particularly effective in low solids systems to prevent settling, such as shed and fence paints.

DeCAL 1201 – Thickening and Rheological Control Additive in Powder Form

DeCAL 1201 can be used in a wide range of water-based systems. The product is designed to disperse and rapidly in aqueous systems, and can also be incorporated in powder blends and formulations.

Applications

DeCAL 1201 can be used in a wide range of water-based adhesives and latex. The product is especially suited for adhesive systems for  building and construction and DIY uses, as well as for pressure-sensitive adhesives, high speed machine adhesives and silicone defoamers.

Benefits

• Effective over a wide pH range (pH 4-12).
• Can be poured directly into the latex/emulsion or pre-diluted with a carrier solvent mixture (for example, aliphatic hydrocarbon) at a ratio of 1:2. In a pre-gel formation, DeCAL 1201 can be diluted with water to form a stock solution, when it will readily wet and disperse with moderate agitation.

DeCAL 1230

DeCAL 1230 is a general purpose synthetic thickener for water-based systems. Systems thickened with DeCAL 1230 will exhibit a very smooth consistency providing improved stability, anti-settlement and application properties.

Designed to offer a gentler thickening action compared to some other emulsion thickeners, DeCAL 1230 is active over a wide pH range and requires no additional alkali. It is ideal for:
