DeCAL 4002, 4003 and 4005 are versatile high performance anionic self crosslinking polymers for the production of high performance finishes across a variety of industries.
The chemical nature of these polymers means that high temperature curing is required to achieve the maximum performance benefits. Treated substrates should be cured at 150°C for up to two minutes. The use of an acid catalyst such as p-toluene sulphonic acid can be used with DeCAL 4003 and 4005 to reduce the curing temperature and accelerate the curing response.
Applications
These products can be used to produce highly resistant finishes on surfaces including wood, paper board and PVC, and in the textiles industries to impart finishes with properties ranging from slightly crisp to very stiff with minimal chalking effect.

Films of DeCAL 4030 are clear, glossy, water resistant and flexible. Systems which are to be cured/dried below the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) of the product will require a suitable coalescent agent to be included in the final formula, to ensure proper film formation.
DeCAL 4032 is a low-cost wide ranging, universal thermoplastic styrene/acrylic copolymer in emulsion form offering enhanced flexibility, high water resistance, and excellent pigment binding power, adhesion and gloss.

It is used in a wide range of applications including interior and exterior water-based paints, masonry paints, primer systems, fence care, adhesion aids, lacquers, floor and panel adhesives, flexible fillers, sealants and caulks.
Films of DeCAL 4032 are clear, glossy, alkali resistant, water resistant and flexible. Due to the low minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) of the product film formation at ambient temperature does not require the use of a coalescent.
DeCAL 4033 is a low-cost universal thermoplastic styrene/acrylic copolymer in emulsion form offering enhanced flexibility, excellent binding power, adhesion and gloss.
Applications
DeCAL 4033 is suitable for a variety of applications including admixtures for cement-based flooring compounds, moisture barriers, roof coatings, interior and exterior water-based paints, lacquers, adhesives and flexible fillers.
Films of DeCAL 4033 are clear, glossy, water resistant and flexible. Due to the low minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) of the product film formation at ambient temperature does not require the use of a coalescent.
DeCAL 4034 is a 100% pure acrylic high-performance copolymer emulsion for the use in both interior and exterior applications. An extremely hydrophobic film leads to formulations showing very high-water resistance and reduced water permeability.
Applications
It is used in a wide range of applications including interior and exterior water-based paints, wood stains, primer systems, fence care, adhesion aids, lacquers, panel adhesives and flexible fillers, sealants and caulks.
Films of DeCAL 4034 are clear, glossy, alkali resistant water resistant and flexible. They also show excellent weatherability and low dirt pick up.
DeCAL 4035 is a universal thermoplastic Styrene/Acrylic copolymer in emulsion form offering excellent water resistance, binding power, adhesion and gloss.
Applications
DeCAL 4035 is particularly suitable for use on low energy substrates such as plastics, polythene, glass and ceramics where it provides a high degree of adhesion. It can be used in lacquers and printing inks.
Films of DeCAL 4035 are clear, glossy, water resistant and flexible.
DeCAL 4201 is an acrylic binder which exists as an alkali soluble carboxylated copolymer emulsion but can also be supplied in its neutralized varnish form as DeCAL 4202.
DeCAL 4201 tends to swell considerably in the early stages of neutralisation. As a result it is recommended that the product be prediluted to with water prior to any neutralisation and then left to stabilise for several hours afterwards before use. DeCAL 4202 is supplied pre-neutralised with the commonly used Monoethanolamine(MEA).
Applications
ideally suited for use in waterbased flexographic inks for paper and corrugated board.
