All products in the 2000 series are synthetic dispersants and demonstrate a high degree of stability to prolonged storage under hot alkaline conditions and effective over pH range 5.5 to 14.

DeCAL 2031 is a novel multifunctional acrylic dispersing agent based on new technology. The grade is an ideal problem-solving dispersant and is compatible with a wide range of organic and inorganic fillers and pigments utilised in water-borne systems.
Applications
DeCAL 2031 is tailored to the agrochemical sectors, where it can be used as a stabiliser for concentrated emulsions, a dispersing agent for concentrated suspensions and in the preparation of suspoemulsions.

DeCAL 2040 Sodium Polyacrylate
DeCAL 2040 is a low viscosity dispersing agent for water-borne coating systems and is especially suited for the dispersion of inorganic pigments. DeCAL 2040 is a solution of a sodium salt of an acrylic polymer in water and, with DeCAL 2041, is the standard dispersant for matt emulsion paints. Both can also be used in certain semi-gloss and gloss formulations.

DeCAL 2041

Applications
As with DeCAL 2040, DeCAL 2041 is the standard dispersant for matt emulsion paints and can also be used in certain semi-gloss and gloss formulations.

DeCAL 2042 – Sodium Polyacrylate Dispersant
A low viscosity product used to disperse inorganic pigments and fillers in water-borne systems.
Applications
DeCAL 2042 is especially suited for use in silk and gloss emulsion paints where its compatibility with glycols maintains the gloss of the system. DeCAL 2042 can also be used to disperse fillers and pigments in many products such as tile adhesives, grouts, fillers and water-based adhesives and glues. It is also used to stabilise dispersions of clay in ceramic casting slips.

DeCAL 2048 can be used to increase the solids loading of the required inorganic dispersion or reduce the working viscosity at a given solids content. As a result, process efficiency is increased and economics improved.
Compared with inorganic dispersing agents, e.g., polyphosphate products, the organic polymer based DeCAL 2048 provides improved storage stability of both the pigment dispersion and the formulated paint. There is little or no adverse reaction to high temperatures or pH changes as indicated in the following graphs, which are examples showing the accelerated effects.

DeCAL 2079 is a solution of an acrylic acid entirely Ammonia free.
Applications:
DeCAL 2079 is an ideal dispersing agent for a wide range of water borne coatings.
DeCAL 2079 should be converted to an aqueous solution of a salt of the acrylic polymer for use. The appropriate choice of the neutralising alkali allows the user to comply with specific environmental and legal requirements. DeCAL 2079 has the advantage that it is entirely ammonia free and therefore will not liberate ammonia on over neutralization.
Compared with inorganic dispersing agents e.g. polyphosphate products, the organic polymer based DeCAL 2079 provides improved storage stability of both the pigment dispersion and the formulated paint. There is little or no adverse reaction to high temperatures or pH changes.
DeCAL 2080

The neutralising alkali used in conjunction with the acrylic polymer can significantly impact the properties of the final coating. DeCAL 2080 releases ammonia during the drying process and therefore has little impact on water and alkaline resistance of the dry film.
