DeCAL 9801 – Water Retaining Polymer for General Industrial Applications
DeCAL 9801 is a synthetic powdered polymer designed to rapidly absorb water and other aqueous fluids from a range of substrates and situations.
DeCAL 9801 is a Super-Absorbent Polymer (SAP). It is capable of absorbing several hundred times its own weight of liquid. The uptake depends on the salt types and concentration levels in the substrate water.
Applications
- Agricultural/Horticultural – Compost additive for water retention, aids transplanting to minimise shock and seed germination.
- Controlled release of active additives – This could include insecticides, herbicides, fragrances etc.
- Flood control – Alternative to sandbags and booms but dry stored and transported at a fraction of the weight and volume.
